Frequently Asked Questions
Practical answers to the questions FlClash users ask most, from first-run setup to everyday troubleshooting.
Which operating systems does FlClash run on?
FlClash runs on Android, Windows, macOS and Linux, offering the same feature set on every platform you install it on.
Which proxy protocols are supported?
Built on the Clash Meta (mihomo) core, FlClash understands VMess, VLESS, Trojan, Shadowsocks, Snell, Socks5, HTTP(S) and WireGuard right out of the box β no extra add-ons required.
How do I import a subscription?
Open the profile section, paste the subscription URL or raw link, and FlClash fetches and parses the node list automatically. A one-tap clipboard import is also available.
Does FlClash support dark mode?
Yes β pick light, dark or adaptive mode that follows your system settings, and on Android the interface picks up Material You dynamic colors.
Can I keep my settings in sync across devices?
Yes. FlClash supports WebDAV synchronization so your profiles and preferences can be kept identical on every device.
Is FlClash really free?
Completely. FlClash is free, open source and free of advertising, with no paid features locked away. The source code is public on GitHub.
How do I start proxying?
Flip the main switch in the lower-right corner of the dashboard. This turns on the system proxy and sends traffic through your active rules.
Is FlClash usable on Android TV?
Yes. Newer releases ship a TV-friendly launcher icon, focus navigation and a layout designed for remote controls, so it works on TV boxes too.
Where is the safest place to download FlClash?
Use only the download center on this site or the official GitHub Releases. Third-party mirrors that borrow the FlClash name should be avoided.
Why does my antivirus complain about FlClash?
Security suites frequently label proxy tools as "potentially unwanted". Because FlClash is open source and auditable, you can review the code yourself β just stick to official download channels and report false positives to your vendor.
Import fails or nodes will not connect β what should I do?
Make sure the subscription link is still valid, re-import it in the profiles page and refresh the subscription. Then run a latency test and switch to a faster, more stable node.
macOS says the app "cannot be verified" β how do I open it?
Because FlClash is not distributed through the App Store, macOS may warn you on first launch. Go to System Settings β Privacy & Security and click "Open Anyway", or right-click the app icon and choose Open.
How do I update FlClash?
Watch the changelog for release notes and fetch the newest installer from the download center. Users who want the very latest builds can download from GitHub Releases.
How is FlClash different from Clash for Windows?
Clash for Windows is no longer maintained. FlClash is an actively developed alternative built on the Clash Meta (mihomo) core, with a unified interface across desktop and mobile, TUN mode, WebDAV sync and theme options.
Internet is slow or websites fail to open β how do I troubleshoot?
1) Confirm the proxy switch is on. 2) Run a latency test and select a low-latency node. 3) Review your rules in case a site is being sent DIRECT. 4) Switch between system proxy and TUN mode. 5) Inspect the logs for errors.
